 Basic Maintenance

1. Cleansing of Soft Stains

You don't need a cleaning solution to remove all the small smudges. Take a wet rag and clean all the soft stains. Do not forget to dry the faucet dry.

  1. Use cleaner for harder stains

Use a mixture of water and cleaner to wipe down the stubborn stains. Vinegar is a great cleanser for all solutions.

  • Natural cleaner - mix equal parts of water and vinegar. Never use vinegar on the iron material. Make sure you know the material of the faucet before using the cleaner.
  • Buy Formula 409, Winded, and Fantastik for artificial cleansing.
  1. Disinfect - You can use bleach or vinegar to disinfect your chrome bathroom faucet. Avoid using a sponge, as it collects bacteria and germs.
  • Mix equal parts of white vinegar and water. Use the mixture to disinfect and kill the bacteria.
  • To make a bleach solution, mix one tablespoon of beach with a quarter of water.  Wear gloves and disinfect the black kitchen sink faucet using the mixture.
  • For a bleach solution, mix one tablespoon of bleach with a quart of water. Use gloves so that your skin does not come into contact directly with the bleach.
  1. Remove excess water - When your brass kitchen faucet is wet, wipe it down with a dry rag. Blot off the water.

If you do not blot off the water, minerals form a thick layer on the white kitchen faucet, and then it can be hard to clean.

Removing Build-up

1. Use lemon juice

Usually, if you do not clean the brushed nickel kitchen faucet regularly, a reddish-brown cavity will form on the faucet.

Use lemon juice to remove the light cavity. Acid is required to clean rust and iron. Try the mixture of borax and lemon to make a paste and apply it on a rag and rub off the build-up.

  • Or you can try a mixture of one-part oxalic acid to ten parts of water.

  1. Use Ammonia to clean green deposits

Mix equal parts of water and ammonia and apply the mixture to the green or bluish deposits. After wiping it with the mixture, rinse the area well and flush out the pipes with water to remove extra ammonia.

  1. Use tartar to remove the black and brown build-up

To remove the darker deposit, use a mixed cream of tartar with hydrogen peroxide to make a paste. Take a rag and rub it onto the single-hole kitchen faucet and remove all the stubborn build-up.
